Black Squirrel Winds in Concert
Posted Feb. 11, 2013The Black Squirrel Winds will perform at Kent State University at Tuscarawas on Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. in Founders Hall auditorium. Sponsored by the Kent State Tuscarawas Artist/Lecture Series, the concert is free and open to the public with no tickets required. The auditorium doors open at 6:30 p.m., with seating available on a first come, first served basis.
The program will include works by such composers as Franz Dansi, Jean-Philippe Rameau and Darius Milhaud.
The Black Squirrel Winds, a Kent State faculty ensemble, is comprised of members Diane McCloskey, flute; Amitai Vardi, clarinet; Danna Sundet, oboe; Mark DeMio, bassoon and contrabassoon; and Kent Larmee, horn. Performing with the Black Squirrel Winds will be award-winning saxophonist Dr. Jeffrey Heisler.
Kent State Tuscarawas is located at 330 University Dr. N.E. in New Philadelphia.
