Department Hosted "Explore Kent Chemistry Day"

The Chemistry Department hosted "Explore Kent Chemistry Day" on Saturday, Feburary 13 from 10am to 1:30pm in Williams Hall on the Kent campus. The free program, geared toward high school students and all pre-undergraduate students with an interest in chemistry, featured presentations from various faculty members regarding the undergraduate curriculum, career opportunities for chemistry majors, undergraduate research opportunities, the Science Learning Community, and the Biotechnology program.

Participants also had the opportunity to tour the department , experience a demonstration of the 3-D classroom, and chat with current faculty members and undergraduate students.
