Make the Most of Your Visit
Kent State University and the City of Kent have so much to offer that we can’t cover it all in one visit to campus! As a result, many students and families visit multiple times. Here are a few ways you can make the most of your visit experience at Kent State.
Explore and Stay in Downtown Kent
Just steps away from the Kent Campus, you’ll find locally-owned restaurants, eclectic shops, galleries, the Kent State University Hotel and Conference Center, venues for live music, festivals and more in the true college town of downtown Kent. Plus, you'll see plenty of black squirrel-themed artwork dedicated to the “unofficial mascot” of Kent State!
Four Seasons of Ohio
Ohio is a state with four distinct seasons throughout the year. Depending on when you plan to visit, please check the local weather and dress accordingly for the best possible visit experience. A sweater or coat may be appropriate during the spring and fall seasons, whereas heavier coats are highly recommended for visits during the winter season.
Eateries, Shops and More!
Check out this interactive map to see all that downtown Kent has to offer. You'll find plant markets, locally owned cafés, crystal shops, KSU spirit stores and dozens of unique, popular eateries!
