Connections

Time to Thrive

Time to Thrive is the Collegiate Recovery Community’s (CRC) social calendar that connects students with a shared goal to grow, flourish, and succeed in an environment free of substances. The program offers various opportunities to be creative, laugh, have fun, build meaningful relationships, learn wellness skills, explore the campus community, share strengths, and reach one’s fullest potential. Activities include a monthly community meal, movie screenings, art, gaming, fitness, volunteer activities, etc. Open to students who want to have fun and socially connect with others without the use of substances.

Running2bWell is a grassroots non-profit program that strives to help those in our community struggling with addiction or mental illnesses, and their families, encouraging a healthy lifestyle change with the following plan: Hosting regular group runs, meetings, and learning opportunities in the areas of diet, strength training, flexibility, and training plans, providing mentors to new runners, and preparing for/participating in a local 5k run. Running2BWell has collaborated with the CRC to bring this mental health and recovery support to the Kent State University campus.
