Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is dedicated to student success and retention by facilitating wellness and personal growth based on the unique needs of the student. CAPS provides confidential mental health services to students which include: crisis intervention; individual, couples, and group therapy; psychological testing; and substance abuse evaluation and treatment.

The Counseling Center at Kent State University is a training clinic for graduate students in the Counselor Education and Supervision program and provides free, confidential mental health counseling to Kent State students and employees and to non-KSU area residents for a nominal fee. Services provided include individual, couple, family, child, and group counseling for developmentally-related concerns.

Services are provided by master’s and doctoral students under the close supervision of clinical faculty members who are licensed psychologists. The goals of the Psychological Clinic are to train graduate students to be skillful clinicians, to provide high quality empirically supported therapy and assessment services, and to contribute to development of new knowledge through applied research.

Student Legal Services is a non-profit law firm that represents the students attending Kent State University's Main Campus. Our purpose is to help students understand and resolve their legal issues. Staffed by three fully licensed attorneys, SLS provides students with quality legal representation and advice for a variety of matters

Services: Project DAWN is a community-based drug overdose education and Naloxone distribution program. Participants attend a 30 minute class to learn to: See the signs and symptoms of an overdose, know the different types of overdoses, do rescue breathing, call emergency medical services, give the intranasal Naloxone.
