Psychological Sciences Scholarship

The Destination Florence Program is a track for Psychology students that provides a structured path to studying abroad in Florence, Italy in the Fall Semester of their second year. This program, if completed, will allow students to partake in a study abroad experience, provide academic structure to ensure students remain on track to complete their degree in four years, and provide financial support to students in the form of scholarships throughout the program.

Below are the scholarships provided and the conditions required to be met to earn each scholarship:

Semester Scholarship Amount Conditions
Fall Year 1 $100
  • Acceptance to the program.
  • Attendance at specific events throughout the semester.
Spring Year 1 $100
  • Meet with Designated  Advisor
  • Attendance at specific events throughout the semester.
Fall or Spring Year 2 $100-300
  • Participation in the Fall Florence, Italy Program

All scholarships are awarded based on the requirement of meeting all conditions listed above. Through out the entirety of the process, all participants must maintain status as a full-time student and maintain a GPA of 2.5.

Scholarship money will be awarded as a lump sum after enrolling in courses for the Florence Fall semester program. Students who elect to take a third PSYC course during their semester abroad may qualify additional scholarship money.

The Office of International Programs and Education Abroad reserves the right to dismiss any students from the program if any conditions are not met at any time.
