International Trip

Join Kent State’s first global service-learning trip to Nicaragua. Students will be working alongside a local non-profit agency, exploring social justice issues and improving the quality of life in rural communities around the capitol, Managua. Participants will work directly with community members, learn about their challenges, and develop long-term economic goals. This may include assisting with the harvesting of coffee and other crops, working with women’s cooperatives, and helping to foster entrepreneurship skills. Participants will also learn about permaculture techniques and utilizing natural resources for sustainability.

Trip Dates: May 16-23, 2016
