Donald Lowe Inducted into Mid-Ohio Valley Sports Hall of Fame

EHHS graduate Donald Lowe, ’64; MA ’69, was inducted into the Mid-Ohio Valley Sports Hall of Fame class of 2022 for his athletic training accomplishments.

The Kent State Health and Physical Education graduate became an expert athletic trainer by treating well-known athletes like Thurman Munson, Jack Lambert and Nick Saban. Afterwards, he moved to Syracuse and worked with Donovan McNabb and Art Monk.

The athletic training facility in the Carmelo K. Anthony Basketball Center is named the Donald and Mary Lowe Sports Medicine Facility.

Lowe also spent time at Georgia Tech. Further, his tenure with the United States Olympic Committee allowed him to spend time at the 1983 Pan American Games. He was also part of the 1992 Olympic training staff in Barcelona.
