Rose Beck scholarship in the College of Education, Health and Human Services
Intended for students enrolled in programs within the college of EHHS.
State Teachers Retirement System Scholarship
The STRS Teacher Education Scholarship is available to a deserving student who is enrolled in a teacher education major that leads to an initial teaching license.
The Al and Carol Messenger Scholarship for Education
Scholarship intended for an undergraduate student in their sophomore, junior or senior year of study enrolled in the College of Education, Health and Human Services and enrolled in a teacher licensure program. Must have a GPA of at least 3.0.
Clark Diversity Emergency Assistance Scholarship
Students who are participating in programs run through the EHHS Office of Diversity Outreach and Development who are experiencing financial hardship and have demonstrated a need for emergency assistance to be able to continue with their studies at Kent State University. Awards will be made on a case by case basis
George & Lynda Grieves Scholarship in EHHS
For any undergraduate student enrolled full-time at Kent State University, studying in any degree field from the College of Education, Health and Human Services and maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Dr. Candice Hughes International Student Teacher Award
Scholarship for students doing their student teaching overseas, priority given to non-European or non-English speaking countries.
Vernon E. and Diane M. Roberts Scholarship
Scholarships for students enrolled in the College of Education, Health and Human Services who are studying School Counseling or Adolescent and Young Adult Education with an Emphasis on teaching Language Arts/English. Normally awarded to an incoming freshman with a minimum 3.0 GPA and is renewable.
Edward E. Kral Scholarship for the College of Education
One-year scholarship for a full time enrolled (12 hours minimum each semester), undergraduate student with prior academic performance of a 2.5 cumulative GPA. Must demonstrate financial need as determined by FAFSA completion.
Michelle D. Thomas Study Abroad Fund
Scholarship to support College of Education, Health and Human Services Students participating in study abroad. Directed toward any expense related to studying abroad including tuition and fees.
The Richard D. and Audrey S. Featheringham Scholarship in the College of EHHS
Scholarship for a Kent State University student enrolled as an undergraduate in their junior or senior year of study or enrolled in a graduate program in the College of Education, Health and Human Services. Recipients must have a minimum 3.25 GPA and demonstrate financial need through the completion of a FAFSA application.
The Virginia Russ and David H. Brown Scholarship in Education
Scholarship for undergraduate students who are enrolled in the College of Education, Health and Human Services and majoring in Teacher education. Recipients must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Robinson Family Scholarship
Scholarship recipients will need a minimum 2.70 GPA; scholarship is renewable if GPA is maintained. Preference will be given to graduates of Newton Falls High School or residing in Trumbull county Ohio.
Marjorie S. Ebright Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship to support students enrolled and in good standing in the College of Education, Health and Human Services. Funds directed to tuition only.
Frederic M. DuBois Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is intended for students enrolled and in good standing in the College of Education, Health and Human Services. Students will be selected on the basis of financial need or academic merit, one recipient per year, renewable at the discretion of the award committee.
Linda S. Booth Scholarship Fund
Scholarship recipients shall be selected on the basis of education majors with junior year status in the college (60 to 89 credit hours of coursework), with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA. Scholarship recipients shall submit an essay on the value of being a professional educator.
Emeriti Faculty Scholarship Award
Scholarship awarded to two full-time students per year, one at the graduate level and one at the junior or senior undergraduate level. Minimum 3.5 GPA, two letters of reference (one from professor/adviser and one from a service organization). Candidates current FAFSA information will be used to determine eligibility.
EHHS Study Abroad Fund
Scholarship for students pursuing a degree within the College of Education, Health and Human Services, having good academic standing (2.75 GPA) and enrolling in a qualified study abroad program.
College of Education, Health and Human Services (EHHS) Deans Scholarship
The EHHS Dean's Scholarship is to support students enrolled in a degree program in the College of Education, Health and Human services, Undergraduate or Graduate. Must be a U.S. citizen. Students must demonstrate financial need either through the FAFSA or a statement of financial need. The scholarship is offered each Fall and Spring and qualified students can apply each time.
June E. Stevenson Scholarship in Education
Support for a student(s) who are planning careers in either health-related professions or health/physical education whose goal it is to pursue a graduate degree in their related field.
The Frank Paul Pamer and Ruth Eileen Pansler Pamer Scholarship in the College of EHHS
Scholarship for students enrolled in the College of Education, Health & Human Services who has achieved sophomore or higher class ranking with a preference for students from Summit or Portage counties.
Russ Wilson Graduate Scholarship
A scholarship for a Kent State University graduate student enrolled in any major in the College of Education, Health and Human Services and must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Yaro John Sojka Scholarship in Education
Scholarship for an incoming freshman Teacher education student with a minimum 3.0 GPA and an ACT of 18-23. This scholarship is renewable.
Dr. Margaret J. Forsythe Graduate Scholarship in Education
Scholarship for a graduate student majoring in Education, with financial need, preference given to a female student.
Michele M. Stoffan Endowed Scholarship Fund in EHHS
A scholarship intended for an education major committed to a career teaching in an urban setting. Recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA after his/her first semester.
Helen P. Powers Endowed Scholarship for College of Education
This scholarship supports students with prior academic performance, financial need with demonstrated leadership on campus and in the community. Preference will be given to graduates of Field High School, Brimfield, Ohio or Mogadore High School, Mogadore, Ohio.
Haywood Doe Consulting Co. Scholarship
Scholarship for a KSU student enrolled in any Graduate program in the College of Education, Health and Human Services. The recipients must have a final minimum undergraduate GPA or 3.5 or higher upon acceptance into the graduate program. First preference will be given to underrepresented minority student
A Lynn Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is intended for an undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a teaching degree in education. First preference to a female of non-traditional age (30 years or older), preference given to a member of Kappa Delta Pi, may be either full or part-time student.
LaVerne M. Jenkins Memorial Scholarship in Education
A scholarship for a student in the College of Education, Health and Human Services with a junior standing or above; 3.0 GPA and demonstrated financial need.
Norma and Percy Marcere Memorial Scholarship
Fund to support scholarships for education majors with a preference for minorities.
Margaret E. Ratcliff Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship for an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Teacher education, enrolled in the College of education, Health and Human Services.
Marlene and Alan Evans Endowed Undergraduate Scholarship
The recipients of this scholarship shall be an African American student from Ohio, preferred but not limited to a graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School with a high school GPA of 3.0. Candidate should have potential for strong leadership as demonstrated through service and extracurricular activities, have good verbal and written communication skills, and who is enrolled in a Teacher Education program. Must have demonstrated financial need. As part of the Scholarship, the student shall be offered student employment through the Instructional Resource Center (IRC). The student must maintain satisfactory work performance.
Rayner Smith and Elizabeth Meade Smith Scholarship
Support for students enrolled in the College of Education, Health and Human Services. Funds intended to support tuition only.
