Amanda Dolan

What is your current occupational position or career, and what are your job responsibilities?

Director, Data Governance and Analytics, Kent State University – responsible for the quality and accuracy of University data across divisions and systems. Co-chair the University Data Governance Council which seeks to standardize the efforts of people and processes to optimize data integrity and quality.

How did the EVAL/RMS program prepare you to obtain or advance in your career?

I would have never been able to transition from Enrollment Management to Information Technology without my degree in Eval/RMS. It allowed me to diversify my skillset and increase my overall earning potential.

What did you most enjoy about the EVAL/RMS program, or being a student at Kent State University?

The supportive faculty who were flexible and accommodating to students’ lives outside of the program. I gave birth 2x in the program and didn’t fall behind or feel left out by my faculty advisor. She was supportive and encouraged me to challenge myself (and her) in my dissertation and I am very grateful for her.

Any other information about yourself that you would like to provide?

Great program for both practitioners and researchers!
