What is your current occupational position or career, and what are your job responsibilities?

I graduated with a Master of Education degree in Research, Measurement, and Statistics in 2022, with a Fulbright Scholarship. Currently, I am in my second year of the Ph.D. program in Higher Education and Student Affairs at Ohio State University, supported by an Azerbaijan State Scholarship. Additionally, I am conducting online workshops for students at ADA University in Azerbaijan. In 2024, I am engaged in a nationwide research project focusing on leadership styles and their impact on students' academic outcomes. This project utilizes a mixed-method approach, for which I am responsible for quantitative analysis.

How did the EVAL/RMS program prepare you to obtain or advance in your career?

The skills I acquired in Research, Measurement, and Statistics during my master's program have proven invaluable in conducting statistical analysis using SPSS.

What did you most enjoy about the EVAL/RMS program, or being a student at Kent State University?

My experience at Kent State University and my journey in the United States have profoundly transformed my life, equipping me with diverse professional and personal skills. I have become more inquisitive, passionate, and engaged in various educational research endeavors. I am active in conference participation. Last year, I was awarded a small grant from the Edmund Muskie program to implement a three-month project with rural youth in Azerbaijan.

Any other information about yourself that you would like to provide?

I am deeply grateful for my time at Kent State University, the education I received, my amazing peers, and the support of the best RMS faculty who have been instrumental in shaping my career.
