Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Award

Description

The Kent State EHHS Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Award recognizes outstanding achievements that have enhanced the Kent State community including its students, staff, and faculty. Relevant activities include outstanding classroom teaching, innovative class activities, projects and assignments, effective use of technology to enhance student learning and service to students, faculty and the community, as appropriate. The contributions can occur within the capacity of teaching, research, creative activities, service, and/or outreach. One Kent State EHHS Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Award will be made annually. 

Eligibility

All current adjunct KSU EHHS faculty. An individual can only receive the award once every five years.

Nomination Procedure

The nominator should:

  1. Ensure nominee’s eligibility.
  2. Complete Nomination Form (PDF)
  3. Include a 1-page (maximum) nomination letter highlighting the nominee’s contribution to their students and the impacts of this work.
    Note: If application is self-nominated, the applicant should secure an additional nomination letter from a colleague or peer supporting the application.
  4. Include the nominee’s vita or resume emphasizing the nominee’s teaching research and service/outreach excellence.

The committee’s decision on award recipients will be made on the basis of the above materials only.
