Graduate assistantships are available for students in the master's and doctoral graduate programs. Assistantships are designed both to serve the needs of Kent State University and to assist in the professional development of students.

A graduate assistant typically helps with instruction, research, or administrative duties beneficial to the appointee's professional development and to the department or office. If interested, a student must file the EHHS Application for Graduate Assistantship (PDF).

Please note that a student must be fully admitted to the graduate program and have applied by March 31st to qualify for full consideration for a graduate assistantship within the Curriculum & Instruction Program. Offers of assistantships are based on both the qualifications of the applicants, and the positions and funds available within the School during a given year. It is to applicants’ advantage to apply early; once funds have been expended, no further assistantships will be awarded.
