Tatee Sakr's path to success in the fashion world started at Kent State University. As a 19-year-old immigrant to the U.S., Sakr chose Kent State University because it was close to her new home in Cleveland and had a reputable fashion design program. Now an industry professional, she is giving back as a key faculty member.
Two School of Fashion students were recognized recently by the Fashion Scholarship Fund (FSF) as 2023 FSF Scholars.
The annual FSF Case Study Scholarship is the Fashion Scholarship Fund's signature program, asking applicants to address real issues facing the fashion industry today. This year, the organization recognized 127 FSF Scholars from colleges and universities across the United States. In addition to a financial award, FSF Scholars receive access to internships and full-time jobs through partner companies and enjoy ongoing professional development and support.
After long conversations and careful considerations - based on our monitoring of the spread of COVID-19 both in NYC and across the globe - the Spring 2021 School of Fashion’s NYC Study-Away Program has been canceled.
We anticipate resuming, in full, our School of Fashion NYC program when appropriate with a refreshed and industry-engaged program.
