    Biography

    Meryl Ranzer is an artist, fashion designer, media strategist, educator, and activist.

    Meryl, a fashion designer, visual, and performance artist, graduated with honors from the School of Visual Arts in 1984. She began her career in fashion as a sportswear designer for Cape Cod/Cricket Lane, a Kellwood Company. Meryl designed private label for Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Saks, and Victoria’s Secret, among others. A seasoned fashion instructor, Meryl currently teaches at Kent State University’s NYC Fashion School, and Fashion Institute of Technology, and has held adjunct roles at Parsons School of Design, and Laboratory Institute of Merchandising. Currently she is also the Communications and Media Coordinator at Respond Crisis Translation, an immigrant's rights, language justice organization.
