30 Day Report and Disclosure: October 15, 2021 - Final report

The U.S. Department of Education automatically allocated HEERF III funding to Kent State University (KSU) because the University received HEERF funding under the student portion of CRRSAA 314(a)(2).  KSU will use at least 50% of the funds received under section 2003(a)(2) of the ARP Act to provide HEERF III funded grants to students.   

This report covers all remaining HEERF fund expenditures for section 2003(a)(2) of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 for the East Liverpool Campus.  Therefore, this is the final report.

  • The total amount of HEERF I funding that KSU received to distribute to East Liverpool Campus students is $4,850. 
  • The total amount of HEERF II funding that KSU received to distribute to East Liverpool Campus students is $15,342.
  • The total amount of HEERF III funding that KSU received to distribute to East Liverpool Campus students is $27,440. 
  • The total amount of HEERF III funded ARP-KSU Grant East Liverpool that were distributed to KSU students as of October 15, 2021 is $27,440.  
  • The estimated total number of KSU students eligible to receive an ARP-KSU Grant East Liverpool is 515.
  • The total number of students who have received a Emergency Grant Award Grant is 15.

To be eligible for a HEERF III funded ARP-KSU Grant East Liverpool, any student who is currently enrolled or was enrolled on or after March 13, 2020, the date of declaration of the national emergency due to the coronavirus.

At the time an award is made, students are notified with an email to their kent.edu account and their FlashLine Student Account is updated to reflect the award.
