    Biography

My nursing career started at University Hospital's Cleveland Medical Center Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) and Ahuja Medical Center's ICU. My teaching experience consisted of critical care clinicals, and I was a nursing professional development specialist at Ahuja's ICU and Step-Down Unit (SDU). My major responsibility was developing the professional growth of the entire nursing team and expanding upon their clinical judgment.

Some examples of the programs developed:
    - Mock codes for the entire hospital
    - Served on several committees
    - Chaired resuscitation committee
    - Assisted developing protocols for patients with COVID during cardiac arrest
    - Designed a cardiac surgery training program
    - Created an ICU escape room for nursing competencies.

During my experiences, I found I had a passion for teaching nursing students. My favorite part of teaching is when students have their, "Aha" moment, and they understand a concept they were struggling with. Being responsible to mold students into patient advocates, critical thinkers, and compassionate caregivers is a privilege. I take that responsibility very seriously, and I know Kent State’s program does as well since I have been through it.
