The Division of People, Culture and Belonging seeks strategic leaders to serve as Associate Vice President for Culture and Belonging and Associate Vice President for People and Culture (Human Resources). These two positions will report to Vice President Amoaba Gooden and provide executive-level leadership for several units within the division.

  • The Cybersecurity Team in the Division of IT is pleased to announce a new yearlong campaign to increase cybersecurity awareness at the university. At the start of each month, you will receive a short note with a link to a video covering an important cybersecurity-related topic. Gift giving season is upon us, and common gifts include smart home devices like Amazon Echo’s, Google Homes, and Apple Home Pods. This month’s episode focuses on how to use these devices safely.

  • Created to honor the legacy of Jerry M. Lewis, emeritus professor of Sociology, and to advance the scholarship of May 4, 1970 and the Vietnam War era, the Jerry M. Lewis May 4 Lecture Series again seeks its annual keynote speaker. Proposals will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Dec. 15, 2023.

  • Earlier this semester, the holiday closure schedule was announced. As promised, FAQs are now available regarding timekeeping, time reporting and pay schedule during the month of December.

  • Community Engaged Learning is excited to recruit faculty/staff leaders for Alternative Spring Break trips! These trips expose students to social justice and cultural issues through direct service, community engagement, reflection and a variety of cultural activities. The experiences engage students in service, inform them about current social issues, and encourage their on-going involvement in social change. The trips are either one day long or multi-day experiences, falling between Mar. 23 and Mar. 29.

  • Online final grading for Fall 2023 (POT 1, F3, W2) begins Friday, Dec. 8, 2023, via FlashFAST. Grading is also now available for any Fall 2023 course section that was flexibly scheduled. The deadline for grading submission is 11:59 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023. Any final grades for Fall 2023 courses not reported in FlashFAST by the grades processing deadline will have to be submitted using the Grade Change Workflow. These Fall 2023 courses will be available in the Workflow on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023.
