One Stop Update Spring 2024

This summer, the One Stop for Student Services will undergo several major changes, including a name change, to enhance the student experience for all students, families, faculty and staff throughout the eight-campus system.

The upcoming changes and anticipated timeline are outlined below. 

Name Change: Financial, Billing and Enrollment Center

In June, the One Stop for Student Services will be renamed the Financial, Billing and Enrollment Center to better reflect the available services. Most of the services provided by the Financial, Billing and Enrollment Center are financial aid and billing-related, with the primary goal of helping students explore and understand their options to choose the best way to fund their Kent State education. 

Kent State students played a pivotal role in renaming the One Stop, and their feedback will positively impact our student experience for years to come – thank you!

Website

In June, the Financial, Billing and Enrollment Center will also launch a brand-new website, making it easier than ever to find information and engage with us. The new website mirrors the admissions website, ensuring a similar user experience for our future and current Golden Flashes. We placed the most popular information front and center, and we reduced the number of webpages significantly, too.  

AI-Powered Chatbot

In July, our new website will host an AI-powered chatbot, enhancing the ability to quickly find answers about financial, billing and enrollment questions. The chatbot specializes in the service areas of the Financial, Billing and Enrollment Center, making it a powerful new tool for students to access 24/7. Late in the fall semester, the chatbot will allow students to ask questions about their student account. Authentication will be required via FlashLine credentials.

Renovated Location

This fall semester, the Financial, Billing and Enrollment Center will relocate to the second floor of the University Library, diagonal from the eSports arena, into a newly renovated space. The new location will include updated and innovatively designed space, ensuring we can continue engaging with students in increasingly unique, meaningful and private ways.

The Road Ahead

The Financial, Billing and Enrollment Center stands ready, more than ever, to assist our students, families, faculty and staff throughout the eight-campus system. Regional Campus students may also continue to contact their local offices.
