Commencement Ceremony

 

 

CONGRATULATIONS 
CLASS OF 2025

Dear Summer Graduates: 

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation. Commencement is scheduled to take place at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center on the Kent Campus on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025 at 10 a.m. Each graduate who RSVP's to attend commencement will be allocated 6 guest tickets, cross the stage, and have their name announced. Ceremony times are forthcoming after the conclusion of the RSVP. Please view the details below to help you prepare to attend your ceremony.

TICKETS

  • Tickets cannot be printed on-site. All guests two years and older must have a ticket to enter the ceremony.
    • Graduates can transfer tickets to guests by phone number or email address under their account on the ticket website and/or download them to an Apple or Google mobile wallet. 
  • A live simulcast of the ceremony will be available in the Student Center KIVA for guests without tickets.

SEATING

  • Graduates should report at 9 a.m. and follow the signs to room 153 in the MACC Annex for check-in.
    • At check-in, you will receive a card for name announcement during the ceremony and an alumni pin.
      • Doctoral Graduates: You will meet your faculty advisor by 9:30 a.m. in the adjoining room. A volunteer will usher you and your faculty hooder to the MACC Gymnasium, where you will be seated together.
    • After check-in, proceed to the MACC Gymnasium to locate your designated seating section with your college. When it is time for your college to cross the stage, ceremony marshals will guide you forward. After crossing the stage, please return to your seat.
  • Guest doors will open at 9 a.m. in the front lobbies of the MAC Center for ticket scanning. Once tickets have been scanned, guests will be ushered to their seats for the ceremony.

CAMPUS PARKING AND SHUTTLES

ADA SEATING AND PARKING

  • drop-off pass for guests in need of ADA accommodations can be displayed in the dash of the car window. This will allow the guest to be dropped off at Lobby A of the MAC Center.
  • Accessibility seating and other reasonable accommodations will be available to guests. Seating in these reserved areas cannot be guaranteed once the ceremony begins.
