The Division of People, Culture and Belonging, Employee Wellness and the Student Recreation and Wellness Center would appreciate your input regarding current health and wellness initiatives at Kent State University. Survey results will be used to assess employee’s health and wellness-related needs and to continue building a well-rounded employee health and wellness program.

  • Get ready to reduce, reuse and then recycle in February and March! Kent State is competing in Campus Race to Zero Waste, an international waste reduction and recycling competition for colleges and universities. Everyone’s collective actions on campus—reducing, reusing and recycling—prevent waste from going into landfills and contribute to Kent State's Campus Race to Zero Waste standings.

  • The Women's Center is pleased to host Marvi Sirmed: journalist, human rights activist, and Scholar at Risk on Tuesday, Mar. 5 from 5:30-7 p.m. All are welcome to attend this presentation on her work as a journalist in Pakistan, reporting on incidents of violence against women – “honor killings” in particular.

  • The American Heart Association is hosting their Heart Walk in June of this year. Departments, divisions, colleges and units can form their own teams under the Kent State University company name. Questions can be directed to Madison Massey, Employee Wellness Coordinator, at mmariol3@kent.edu.

  • Don’t forget to apply and become a Flashes 101 instructor! The deadline to submit your application has been extended to Friday, Mar. 1. For the course to reach its full potential, we need the help of our entire Kent State community.

  • Education Elevated Conference (e2) will be held virtually on Friday, Mar. 8, 2024, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. As always, e2 is free to attend and open to anyone. This year’s theme is TechForward! Our goal is to equip participants with the latest strategies and tools to effectively integrate technology into instruction, and drive forward with educational innovation.
