6th Annual Education Elevated Conference: TechForward!

The Education Elevated Conference (e2) will be held virtually on Friday, Mar. 8, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. As always, e2 is free to attend and open to anyone. This will be a day full of speakers, solution partners, and your brilliant ideas! This year’s theme is TechForward. Our goal is to equip participants with the latest strategies and tools to effectively integrate technology into instruction, and drive forward with educational innovation.

Education Elevated brings together multiple partners to share knowledge, skills, and teaching strategies that elevate students’ learning through leveraging technology in service of effective teaching. The Collaborative is committed to sponsoring workshops, conferences and other opportunities for faculty and staff to learn and share expertise with digital tools for education. Collaborative partners include Center for Teaching and Learning, Division of Information Technology, Kent State Online, Student Accessibility Services, and University Libraries.

Featured Keynote

Graham Clay, Ph.D., is a teaching assistant professor of Philosophy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill who runs a newsletter, AutomatED: Teaching Better with Tech , that distills his and his team’s work on AI and pedagogy for 1000s of readers every week. He consults with university departments, centers for teaching and learning, and professors about ways that they can better leverage AI in their work. As a philosopher, he conducts research in three areas: (i) argumentation, the ways that our minds form beliefs in response to arguments, and how we can improve our argumentation practices; (ii) early modern philosophy, especially as it relates to the preceding; and (iii) the ways that we can and should use artificial intelligence (AI) for research and pedagogy.
