  • The Kent Blossom Music Festival, an educational partnership between Kent State University and The Cleveland Orchestra returns for its 56th season from June 23 through July 28.    

  • University Culinary Services is pleased to announce that the Fork in the Road food truck will be out on Wednesdays this summer. Tomorrow through August 7, visit the Risman Plaza on Wednesdays between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for fun food truck meals brought to you by Culinary Services. Please note that in observation of Juneteenth, the Fork in the Road food truck will be participating in the Juneteenth Jubilee on June 18 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Fork in the Road will not be out on Wednesday, June 19. 

  • Reminder: Self-evaluations and performance evaluations for classified and unclassified employees are open through Jun. 14, 2024. Continual dialogue between an employee and their supervisor is a critical element in successful performance management and the annual performance evaluation is an opportunity for this dialogue to be impactful.

  • The FSA plan year 2023 has closed. The IRS required that any 2023 balances remaining in your FSA account had to be spent by Mar. 15, 2024, and claims filed by Jun. 29, 2024, or the balance will be forfeited. This means that reimbursement for incurred expenses using 2023 funds must be filed by Jun. 29, 2024. This is known as the IRS "use it or lose it" rule and there are no exceptions.

  • In accordance with 20 CFR § .655.734, Kent State University is required to provide notice that a Labor Condition Application (LCA) for H1-B Nonimmigrant Alien Worker has been led by Kent State University with the United States Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, United States Employment Service Certifying Officer. All LCA postings are provided at the university's Legal Notices website.
