Kent State University’s College of Nursing graduated 352 nursing students at Spring Commencement ceremonies on May 9-10 in the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center) on the Kent Campus. Held during National Nurses Week, the 195 bachelor of science in nursing degree (BSN) and 157 Master of Science in Nursing  (MSN) degree graduates have now officially begun their professional careers as nurses.

Kent State University’s College of Business Administration was recently recognized by the Sales Education Foundation as a 2014 Top University for Professional Sales Education. Ellen Daniels, faculty member of the College of Business Administration at Kent State, said this is quite an accomplishment.

In early May, Kent State University's Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, in collaboration with the Fashion School, powered by the Division of Finance and Administration, hosted the Garment Games -- Inclusion By Design, a fashion sportswear design competition. The diversity event was developed to promote inclusion across all university campuses and surrounding communities and to celebrate and support the 2014 Gay Games (GG9) coming to Cleveland/Akron in early August.

The Telly Awards has named a fundraising video created for the new Center for the Visual Arts at Kent State University as a bronze winner in the 35th Annual Telly Awards. The Kent State video submission was one of nearly 12,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries.
