The University Band, also known as the "Communiversity Band," is open to all Kent State University students, faculty, staff and community members who wish to continue performing traditional band literature. The ensemble is dedicated to broadening the artistic level and interest of its members through a low-pressure, once-a-week rehearsal and performs one concert in late spring.
The University Band also serves as a practicum for music education majors to conduct and play secondary instruments.
