  • The new Center for Architecture and Environmental Design earned platinum Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design recognition for exceptional environmental friendliness and sustainability, the first platinum recognition for an Ohio public university.
  • Kent State University was named one of the healthiest campuses in American by Active Minds after creating a culture that encourages mental health awareness, physical health activities and smarter food choices.
  • The new Integrated Science Building facilitates groundbreaking research and scientific collaboration across fields of study including physics, biology, chemistry and more.
  • The Wick Poetry Center transcends the borders of campus with Traveling Stanzas: Writing Across Borders to facilitate global conversations through poetry.
  • The new Center for Undergraduate Excellence empowers students to find their home and their purpose at Kent State University.
  • Kent State University dedicated the historical May 4th site as a national landmark and celebrated the renovation of the May 4th Visitors Center in Taylor Hall.
  • Kent State hosted renowned journalist Dan Rather and former student Michael Keaton for students, alumni and the community.
