About Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant

Founded in 1955 by Charles Glass Greenshields, Q.C., the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation helps dedicated young artists and students pursue painting and sculpture. Mr. Greenshields believed that discipline, hard work and serious training in traditional means of artistic expression were fundamental to the growth and development of the artist. The foundation provides financial assistance through grants awarded to young artists who are pursuing their studies or are in the early stages of their careers while working in a representational style of painting, drawing, sculpture or printmaking.  Recipients must demonstrate the determination and talent to pursue a lifetime career in their field. Since its conception, the foundation has assisted more than 2000 students and artists from all around the world.
