
More than a hundred years ago, on a hillside overlooking a winding river, Kent State began.
This dedicated group of teachers and learners quickly grew and grew. The university expanded in Kent and beyond, opening campuses throughout the region to meet students where they are and provide education tailored to their communities’ needs.

Kent State University at Ashtabula
Along the shores of Lake Erie, Kent State Ashtabula is home to Ohio's only wine degrees program and some of the region's most respected nursing and allied health programs. The northern-most campus of Kent State offers students the opportunity to pursue study in more than 30 professional certificate, associate and bachelor’s degree programs.
Kent State University at East Liverpool
Kent State University at East Liverpool overlooks the Ohio River, bordering West Virginia and Pennsylvania. The downtown campus includes Purinton Hall, the Mary Patterson Building and the Locke House, a training facility for occupational therapy assistant students. Combined with Kent State University at Salem, more than 20 degrees are offered, including associate and bachelor’s degrees in nursing and physical therapist assistant technology.
Kent State University at Geauga
Nestled in the heart of one of Ohio’s fastest-growing counties, the Geauga Campus in Burton stands as the premier institution of higher learning in the region. Together with the Twinsburg Academic Center, these campuses cater to over 2,000 students, offering exceptional academic programs tailored to meet the evolving needs of the community.
Kent Campus
The Kent Campus, our only residential campus in our system, is situated in Northeast Ohio, amid rolling terrain dotted by spring-fed lakes. Yet big city enthusiasts are only a short drive from four major urban centers, with airports offering access to the nation and the world. The beautifully landscaped campus comprises 950 acres and 131 buildings.
Kent State University at Salem
Kent State University at Salem features a health and science wing, an academics learning commons area, greenhouse, and technology to enhance learning, especially for its reputable programs in nursing and radiology technology. Combined with Kent State University at East Liverpool, more than 20 degrees are offered, including associate and bachelor’s degrees.
Kent State University at Stark
As Kent State’s largest Regional Campus, Kent State University at Stark is a beautiful 200-acre campus with a private college feel. Choose from more than 25 associate, bachelor’s, master’s and online programs with majors such as nursing, education, music technology and cybersecurity.
Kent State University at Trumbull
Kent State University at Trumbull is a 350-acre campus with a two-acre natural resource in Lake Anne. The campus is home to the Ohio Basic Police Academy and a Corrections Training Facility.
Kent State University at Tuscarawas
Located in New Philadelphia, Kent State University at Tuscarawas spans 180 picturesque acres where students pursue popular majors like nursing; computer design, animation and game design; and veterinary technology. The campus boasts a championship-winning sports program and is home to the Performing Arts Center.
Twinsburg Academic Center
The Twinsburg Academic Center, a state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly facility, extends the offerings of the Geauga Campus, becoming a vibrant hub for both two- and four-year degree programs. This modern space is designed to meet the diverse educational needs of the community, fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment.
