Individual Therapy

Counseling and Psychological services provides confidential mental health treatment to students which includes: crisis intervention, individual, couples, and group therapy. Therapy is also referred to as talk therapy or psychotherapy, during which a therapist helps to make sense of an individual's concerns and to assist them in seeking a resolution. It is a collaborative process through which the therapist and client work to establish goals for treatment and develop strategies to reach goals. Therapy has been shown to be most effective when there is a positive working relationship with the treatment provider.
