Voting Rights

With our election just a few weeks away, our first Week of Change will focus on voting rights—both in our community and in America.
While the right to vote forms the core of our democratic republic, large groups of people were prevented from exercising this right due to their identities for centuries. And while progress has been made, we continue to witness various forms of voter suppression across the country today.
Our Voting Rights Week of Change schedule contains a variety of events in a multitude of formats, and it is sequenced to help participants gain a sense of how the issue affects them, learn about underlying dynamics and history affecting voting rights, and understand how they can integrate action in this area into their day-to-day lives.
