
LaKetta Y. Wilson
LaKetta Wilson came to Kent State University in 2014 as the Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist in the Compliance Risk Management Department. She is responsible for conducting routine audits of university laboratories. In addition, she manages the hazardous waste program, laboratory signage, and laboratory and radiation safety programs. As the Interim Manager of Research Safety she chairs the Laboratory Safety and Radiation Safety Committees and is the university’s Radiation Safety Officer.
She has worked as an analytical chemist at Saint Gobain Crystals, Bridgestone Firestone and Hubbell Power Systems. LaKetta received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Talladega College and has Master’s degrees in the following: MBA - University of Phoenix, MS in Criminal Justice - University of Cincinnati, and MS in Public Health - Kent State.
