Lunchtime Bike Ride – May 9

The next Lunchtime Bike Ride will take place on Tuesday, May 9, from noon to 12:50 p.m., as Chris John from the Department of Recreational Services leads a 30-40 minute ride on the Kent Campus, as well as the surrounding community.

Employees can bring their own bikes or check out a bike through the Flashfleet bike-share program at one of eight locations around the Kent Campus. Flashfleet locations include the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, Eastway Center, Van Campen Hall, Tri-Towers, Terrace Hall, Stopher-Johnson, the Kent Student Center (Summit Steet side of library) and PARTA in downtown Kent.

Participants should meet at noon at the Flashfleet Kiosk at the Kent Student Center. The ride will begin promptly at 12:10 p.m. Additional rides will be hosted on June 6 and July 18.

This is a great way to enjoy our beautiful campus, get some exercise and moves in, and earn 10 Wellness Your Way Tier Two points. An Employee Wellness team member will be present for employees to sign in prior to the start of the ride.

Registration will be limited for the safety of the group. Helmets are strongly recommended. Email Chris John at cjohn4@kent.edu for more information.
