    Biography

    Anthony Zacchino is a doctoral student focused on 19th century American politics. He completed his MA in history at The City College of New York, under the supervision of Dr. Gregory Downs and Dr. Adrienne Petty. He worked as a research assistant on Jim Oakes’ 2013 Lincoln Prize-winning monograph Freedom National, The Destruction of Slavery in the United States, 1861-1865 and on Dr. Petty’s award winning book, Standing Their Ground: Small Farmers in North Carolina Since the Civil War.

    Following his MA, Anthony joined the Clinton Foundation before starting a decade long career in higher education fundraising. He was fortunate to work for institutions including Weill Cornell Medical College, Case Western Reserve University, and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He also briefly worked as a Football Correspondent while living in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

    Anthony and his wife reside in Cleveland, OH with their two young children.
