Does Kent State Offer an Employee Assistance Plan (EAP)? (11/10/2014)

Kent State University provides the IMPACT Employee Assistance and Work/Life Program. Coverage for services provided by IMPACT is extended to all Kent State full- and part-time employees. In addition, eligible dependents under the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) include household members, dependents in and away from home, and parents/parents-in-law (whether or not residing in the employee’s home). The IMPACT program is provided to employees and their eligible dependents as a free service and includes unlimited phone consultation, six face-to-face counseling sessions per person, per occurrence and numerous other services.

The IMPACT program can assist with questions or concerns, such as stress, anxiety, depression, child management, marital concerns or substance abuse, or help with issues involving consumer affairs, child or eldercare, financial or legal matters or finding that perfect summer camp for your little one.

IMPACT recognizes the reality that behavioral health, everyday living and medical issues often coexist. Their seamless merger of expertise provides a mechanism to address a wider continuum of assistance for you and your family. All services provided by IMPACT are confidential and governed by federal and state laws.

So, when life seems to get a little out of hand or you just are not sure where to look for assistance, know that IMPACT is available 24/7, 365 days a year at 1-800-227-6007.

You may access additional information regarding IMPACT, including the IMPACT at-a-glance brochure, by visiting the Human Resources website or by contacting the Benefits Office at 330-672-3107.
