Kent Engaged and Emerging Professionals

To better serve and include all Kent State employees interested in connecting through networking, professional development and service opportunities, the Kent Young Professionals has officially changed it’s name to the "Kent Engaged and Emerging Professionals."

The Kent Engaged and Emerging Professionals (KEEP) group targets any university employee that identifies as a young professional.

KEEP is focused on three goals:

  • To provide opportunities for its members to grow professionally;
  • To organize service options and give its members a chance to give back to the greater community;
  • To serve as a base to meet other young professionals in the area.

In reaching these goals, KEEP will leverage cross-divisional collaboration, will increase university pride and engagement, and will build stronger relationships with the greater community. We currently offer virtual events and a Micrsoft Teams channel for connecting. If you're interested in leadership opportunities, please email Nzinga Hart, KEEP Chair at

Through a collaborative spirit, we will support and build the Kent State faculty and staff community through opportunities for networking, service and professional development offered to employees across the University system.

To foster a culture of engagement, empowerment, and fulfillment for professionals at Kent State University.
