Employee Resource Groups Adopt Families This Holiday Season

Kent State University’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) raised more than $250 through the Well Community Development Corporation (CDC) to benefit a deserving family this holiday season.

The CDC forms partnerships that create affordable housing and economic initiatives, while reinvesting in individuals and neighborhoods in the Akron area.

The Pan African Faculty and Staff Association, partnered with the Salvation Army in Ravenna to raise some $1,500 dollars for toys, clothing and other gifts for a local family of eight.

The Women of Color Collective (WOCC) held an informational self-care session to educate attendees on seasonal depression, strategies to implement self-care and local mental health resources. WOCC fosters the professional development, mental wellness, networking and personal growth of women-identifying faculty and staff of color at Kent State.
