Q1:     What is the Veterans’ Job Fair?

A1:  The Veterans’ Job Fair is an opportunity for veterans to interface with potential employers, sign up for VA benefits, learn about resources for veterans and their spouses, gain information on educational benefits, and more.        

Q2:   When is the Veterans’ Job Fair?

A2: The Veterans’ Job Fair will take place on Thursday, August 18 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

Q3: Where will the fair be held?

A3: The Veterans’ Job Fair will be held at Kent State University at Kent State University at Stark at the Conference Center, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in North Canton, Ohio 44720

 Q4:      Where can I park?

A4: Parking is available at the Kent State University Conference Center parking lot located just outside the building.

Q6:      What should I wear?

A6: If seeking an on-the-spot interview, business casual is preferred.

Q7:      Do I need to have a resume?

A7: Yes, and please bring copies to share with potential employers.    

Q8:    What type of assistance will be available in the Resource Room? 

A8: A copier/printer will be available to print additional copies of your resume. Also, a limited number of laptops will be available to edit and print your resume. In addition, various agencies will be located in the atrium to provide assistance regarding benefits, services and programs. 

Q9:   How do I sign up for the Veterans’ Job Fair?

If you are unable to register via the internet, please call the Kent State University Talent Acquisition Office at 330-672-2100 for assistance.
