January 2022
January Focus – Recommitting to Self-Care
Self-care means asking yourself what you need and following through on the honest answer. Self-care can be as simple as getting to bed earlier on a work night, or as challenging as taking a look at some of the habits you’ve created for yourself and their long-term effects. At its core, self-care is about recharging and reducing stress. It’s a way to revive your mental and emotional energy and recommit to knowing your self-worth. What better time than the start of a new year to recommit to yourself and your self-care routine?
Just like an athlete who trains for a competitive event, sticking with a self-care routine requires that you practice the activities regularly. And since life may never get less busy, it’s time to embrace everyday moments of self-care. There’s no reason to wait for a spa day or vacation to get re-centered and rejuvenated when you can seize the day and take care of yourself right now. For the month of January, Employee Wellness programming is designed to support you in doing just that. From health coaching and webinars, to a 12-week lifestyle change program and a new office workouts class, opportunities abound to help you recommit to self-care in 2022.
