Influence New Digital Products through the Pioneer Program

The Division of Information Technology created the Pioneer Program to improve the university’s digital products and services, particularly FlashLine. Through the program, students, faculty and staff have the opportunity to use products and services prior to public release, then provide feedback on their experiences. The program, which began in fall 2017, also provides a better understanding of the needs of the university community and the challenges it faces in using new applications.

“As a Pioneer, not only will you be the first to have access to cutting-edge applications developed by our division, you will also have the unique opportunity to provide feedback regarding your experiences. Your feedback – which will often be given in one-on-one conversations with a team member – will provide insight to the development team about what works and what could be improved,” says Sameer Jaleel, interim executive director, Systems Development and Innovations.

While participating, you will share your thoughts through periodic surveys and brief activities. This might include examining your interaction with the site, whether you prefer one product over another or how easy you find the product to use. These analyses will help us make our products more user-friendly.

We sincerely value your insight and invite you to take part in this program. To participate, please sign up at apps.kent.edu/Pioneers. Registering will provide you with a “Pre-Release” option in FlashLine so that you can try new features as they become available.
