Recovering a forgotten username or password on the FlashLine Login page

Introduction

The following article will provide steps on resetting your password as well as how to recover your username if you have forgotten.

If you are a new student and attempting to login for the first time, please review the instructions on first time login.

Microsoft Self Service Password Reset

If you have Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) configured for your account, you can reset your password using the steps below:

1. From the FlashLine login page, click the link for "Forgot your password"

2. Enter your full Kent State email address in the User ID field and the characters from the "captcha" in the field below the image

3. Choose the method you would like to use for verification
Note: Verification methods available will be based on those you have configured and may vary from screenshots

4. Enter the verification code received to the method you chose

5. Choose a new password for your FlashLine account. See Password Requirements.

Recover Forgotten Username

  1. From the FlashLine login page, click the link for "Forgot your username"
  2. Enter the alternate (non @kent.edu) email address associated with your account
  3. Check the box for "I'm not a robot" and click "Find my Username"

If you have an account with the alternate email address on file that you entered, an email will be sent there containing your FlashLine Username.
