CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION
As academic advisors and college administrators, putting students first is our primary objective. This dedication carries a silent burden; the stories of students and families have grown into our daily practice. Some branches of our work grow in joy, success, and celebration while others stem from trauma, sadness, despair, and anger. Yet, we carry them with us; they are part of our roots as we seek to define our legacy.
The 2023 Northeast Ohio Academic Advising Conference aims to grow our lasting impact on self-care personally and professionally. Taking strategies back to our home institutions and making a conscious effort to be kinder mentally and emotionally to our students, ourselves, and others.
