Then there are Google, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, IM, Flicker, YouTube, Yelp, Pinterest, etc. On Feb. 11 from noon - 1 p.m. in the Lake Room, we invite you to welcome to the world of social media. Gone are the fireside chats, where families gathered around the Victrola radio to listen to the weekly comedy show.
Join presenter Terri O'Reilly, M.Ed as she defines social media and identifies its uses and audiences. Participants will explore the latest disorder known as Social Media Anxiety Disorder, or SMAD, and discuss the role social media could have on one's self-image and relational skills.
