Joe Whitehead

Our Alumnus Dr. Joe B. Whitehead, Jr. was honored with the New Millennium Alumni Award from Kent State University. Dr. Whitehead received his PhD at Kent in 1989, and currently is a Dean of the College of Science and Technology at the University of Southern Mississippi, where he continues to pursue research in the area of Liquid Crystal physics.
