Kent State Swim Club

Created in the Fall of 2022, the Kent State Swim Club creates an opportunity for college level students to swim as a club sport. Offering both competitive and noncompetitive options, the Kent State Swim Club is a well rounded club that caters to varying experience. While basic swim experience is required for the club, all levels are welcome.

Registration

All existing swimmers and new swimmers will need to sign up for Do Sports Easy. This is a University requirement to be able to participate in the club. Failure to do so before practices begin will result in swimmer(s) being denied access.  Please note that swimmers that want to drive to meets must be registered as designated drivers. This is not a requirement to be a part of the club.

Students who do not register through Do Sports Easy will not be able to participate in practices. Please complete this form before the first practice.

Practice Schedule

Practices are held at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center Natatorium as follows:

  • Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8 - 9:30 p.m. (starting Monday, Aug. 28)

  • Saturdays from 8 - 9:30 a.m.

We will also practice at Kent Roosevelt High School when preparing for meets. More information for these practices will be discussed at a future date.

Dues

Dues are an important part of clubs' ability to fund themselves. Dues help swimmers obtain necessary equipment not always offered by the university. Please view the options below as the Swim Club is happy to cater to differing needs.

Competitive Swim Club: $45

  • Swimmers that are interested in swimming in competitive swim meets as part of the Kent State Swim Club should choose this option.
  • Kent State Swim club will assist swimmers with the cost of attending meets. All outside costs not covered by the Kent State Swim Club will be paid for by swimmers/members of the Club.
  • Meets will be within the College Club Swimming network and as well as outside the network.
  • Practices held at the SRWC and Kent Roosevelt High School.

Non-competitive Swim Club: $30

  • Swimmers who are interested in only attending practices, social events and all else beside attending meets.
  • Practices held at the SRWC and Kent Roosevelt High School.
