Lap Swimming

The purpose of the lap swimming registration is to monitor who uses the natatorium, maintain space capacities for safe use, and allow a use structure for students and members.

Lap Pool Lane Policy

  • Lanes 2, 4, 6: Open swim
    • Maximum capacity: 4 people.
    • There is no household requirement.
    • Swimmers should split lane.
    • Enter the lane at the window end of the pool.
  • Lanes 1, 3 and 5: Reservation bookings
    • Enter the lane at the Aquatics Office end of the pool.
    • Maximum capacity: 2 people in the same household.
    • Swim periods are 50 minutes starting the top of each hour.
    • Registration can be done online, over the phone by calling the Member Services Desk at 330-672-4732, or in person at the Member Services Desk.
    • Registration for a lane and time will open 7 days before. (Example, registration for a lane/time on a Tuesday will open then Tuesday before.)
    • Space will be first come, first serve.
    • Walk-in use for an empty lane that is registered by another member may be available if the member is 10 or more minutes late checking in.
    • Walk-in use for an unregistered lane is allowed after registration is complete, online, over the phone, or in person.
    • Swimmers will need to “check in” upon arrival in the Natatorium. Swimmers must be checked in with the Aquatics staff and in their lane by 10 minutes after the hour or risk losing their lane.
    • Lane 1 ADA Chair lift and stairs will be accessible as needed.
    • Upon check in they may head to pool deck to their assigned space.
    • All swimmers will be encouraged to come ready to swim.
    • Spaces on deck will be labeled and zones off.
    • 1 kickboard and 1 pull buoy will be provided for use per lane.  This equipment will be cleaned and sanitized after each use.
    • Upon their time expiring, they will be asked politely to exit the area/ head to the locker room so we can prepare for cleaning and the next group.

Other Natatorium Rules

  • There will be limited communal equipment use.
  • Swimmers encouraged to bring their own equipment.
  • Leisure pool
    • Capacity is not limited and registration is not required.
    • Swim period will be 45 minutes starting at the top of each hour.
    • A 15 minute Safety Break will begin at the 45 minute point each hour.
  • Spa
    • Capacity is 16 people
  • Vortex
    • Capacity is 6 people.
