Shred-Mania
Free document shredding will be available on March 20, 2023 from 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the R-17 parking lot, between S. Willow and S. Lincoln (near CAED and Wick Poetry Center).
Shred Mania allows participants to recycle unwanted paper documents using a secured, document destruction service. Weaver SecurShred will shred documents offsite.
It is not necessary to remove paper/binding clips or staples from your documents in order to have them shredded.
Shred Mania is open to all KSU students, faculty, staff and the Kent community*.
*Limit of 3 boxes per person from Kent community members for shredding
Personal material should be kept separate from university material when unloading for tracking purposes. Staff will weigh KSU materials first before shredding.
As a reminder, for Kent State University property, staff will need to follow university retention periods and complete a record destruction request form and have the form approved by the Office of General Council PRIOR to shredding. Record Destruction Form: http://tinyurl.com/RecordsDESTform
Hosted by KentState University’s University Facilities Management and Office of Sustainability.
