Douglas Muccio, Ph.D.

Dr. Muccio is a licensed psychologist whose expertise expands across several areas of the behavioral health field. Douglas joined KSU CAPS in 2008 part-time as a generalist with a specialization in sport psychology. Since that time he has served the university community doing individual psychotherapy with students, sport psychology with KSU student athletes, and outreach programming across campus.   Outside of KSU, Dr. Muccio works as a clinic director at the Howland PsyCare where he oversees a team of counselors, social workers, psychologists, psychiatric prescribers, and administrative support staff.  His sport psychology work has served athletes at every level from the youth ranks to Olympic and professional athletes in the community.  He also serves as a primary physician of record for BWC cases in the Mahoning Valley, specializing in treatment of injured workers.
