Kent State's social media ambassador program, overseen by UCMs social media team, is an exciting volunteer opportunity for current students to gain professional social media marketing experience. Ambassadors are passionate about Kent State, active on social media and eager to tell their Kent State story.
Nicole Carlone Losi is Kent State University’s Director of Digital Content. She manages the university’s social media content and strategy. In addition, she manages Kent State’s internal social media community, the social media team within University Communications and Marketing and serves as the founder and chair of the university's Social Media Action Committee. Prior to Kent State, she served as the Digital Media and Communications Manager of Hospice of the Western Reserve, where she developed and managed the agency's social media and blog strategy, website, email marketing and SEO efforts. She is a Baldwin Wallace University alumna with a degree in public relations and a double minor in marketing and management.
Deanna Stevens Ulrich joined Kent State University in January 2019 after working as a digital content editor at the Akron Beacon Journal/Ohio.com, where she aided the development and implementation of the digital strategy for the newspaper. Along with the daily maintenance of the website, she managed social media accounts for Ohio.com and developed best practices for the newsroom's staff.
She is an alumna of Northwestern University, where she earned a master’s degree in sports administration, and Kent State, where she earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication.
