February 2021 Social Media Recap

February came and went in a flash! During the month, our social accounts were filled with Valentine’s Day content, alumni features and photos of our beautiful campus. 

Here are some of our top-performing posts:

Instagram: 

On Instagram, our top-performing post featured Flash handing out face coverings on the Kent Campus.This post generated our highest engagement, earning 1,901 likes on Instagram. 

Along with this image, another campus photo was placed on our highest engagement list. This image shows two students enjoying the warmer weather on the Kent Campus. This photo garnered 1,278 likes. 

 

Facebook:

In February, we experienced a classic Ohio winter storm. On Feb. 23, we posted a winter wonderland campus video that received 315 likes. 

 

Along with the winter image, our second top-performing post celebrated an alumna, who recently celebrated her 100th birthday!

 

Twitter:

Similar to Facebook, our Twitter audience enjoyed the view of campus after the winter storm. Our top-performing post was the video montage of the Kent Campus after a heavy snowfall. This post received 113 likes and more than 4,900 views. 

 

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, we posted our own Valentine’s Day cards for fellow Golden Flashes! 

During the month of February, we welcomed: 

  • 59 followers on Twitter

  • 209 followers on Facebook

  • 422 followers on Instagram
