Vincent Ripepi, a junior at Kent State University, will be traveling around the world on the prestigious Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) National Team for Olympic-style sparring.
The Hudson Hub Times reports that Ripepi was placed on the team after competing last month in the AAU National Championships in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
He will be competing in the 18-to-32 age bracket in the middleweight division.
